Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all courier services provided by Voltedge Drive. By placing a booking through our website, you confirm that you have read and agree to the conditions outlined below.
1. Our Service
Voltedge Drive is a same day courier service operating across South Wales. Our service is designed specifically for business to business deliveries.
Collections and deliveries must take place between commercial premises. Residential addresses are not supported.
The service is suitable for documents and light commercial goods only.
Individual consignments must not exceed 40 kg in total weight and must be suitable for safe handling by a single driver without assistance.
Items must also fall within the following approximate maximum dimensions:
• Length: 100 cm
• Width: 80 cm
• Height: 80 cm
Palletised goods, bulk freight and items requiring lifting equipment are outside the scope of our service.
Voltedge Drive reserves the right to refuse any consignment that is considered unsafe, oversized or unsuitable for transport.
All bookings are managed through our online booking platform.
2. Service Area
Voltedge Drive operates within the following service areas:
• Cardiff Local Delivery
Both collection and delivery addresses must fall within the following Cardiff postcodes: CF3, CF5, CF10, CF11, CF14, CF15, CF23, CF24
• Cardiff, Newport and Barry Delivery
Addresses must fall within the following postcodes:
Cardiff: CF3, CF5, CF10, CF11, CF14, CF15, CF23, CF24
Newport: NP10, NP11, NP18, NP19, NP20
Barry: CF62, CF63 and Penarth CF64
• Bridgend Regional Delivery
Deliveries between Bridgend and Cardiff, Newport or Barry are supported. One address must fall within the following Bridgend postcodes: CF31, CF32, CF33, CF35, CF36
Bookings outside these areas may be declined or quoted separately.
3. Operating Hours
Standard operating hours are:
• Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 17:30
• Saturday: 07:00 to 12:00
• Sunday: Closed
Bookings submitted outside these hours will be scheduled for the next working day.
Extended service availability may be offered to approved account clients, subject to operational capacity.
4. Collections and Delivery Timing
Voltedge Drive aims to collect consignments promptly following booking confirmation. Collection and delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Timings are subject to traffic conditions, distance and operational availability.
Consignments must be ready for collection at the agreed time. A standard waiting time of 10 minutes is included. Additional waiting time may be chargeable.
For bookings placed after 15:30, customers must ensure the recipient premises remain open and available.
If delivery cannot be completed due to closure, refusal or recipient unavailability, the consignment may be returned or rescheduled. Additional charges will apply.
5. Booking Accuracy and Service Zones
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct delivery zone when placing a booking.
If the selected zone does not match the collection or delivery postcode, Voltedge Drive reserves the right to:
• adjust the price
• delay the booking
• or cancel the job
Customers must ensure all booking information is accurate and complete, including:
• names
• addresses
• contact details
Voltedge Drive is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional mileage caused by incorrect information.
6. Payment and Account Clients
Standard bookings must be paid at the time of booking.
Approved account clients may place bookings under agreed invoice terms. Invoices must be settled within the agreed payment period.
Voltedge Drive reserves the right to:
• suspend account access
• apply credit limits
• withdraw account status
in cases of late payment, misuse or operational issues.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Bookings cancelled before driver dispatch are eligible for a full refund.
If a cancellation occurs after dispatch, a call out charge will apply.
Once collection has taken place, the full service charge is payable.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where applicable.
8. Failed Delivery
Customers must ensure the recipient is available to accept delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed due to:
• recipient unavailability
• incorrect address
• business closure
• refusal
The consignment may be returned or reattempted. Additional charges will apply.
9. Packaging and Sender Responsibilities
The sender is responsible for ensuring consignments are securely packaged and suitable for transport.
Voltedge Drive accepts no liability for damage caused by:
• inadequate packaging
• insufficient protection
• insecure sealing
All items must comply with stated weight and size limits.
10. Restricted and Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted:
• hazardous or dangerous goods
• flammable materials
• controlled drugs
• firearms or weapons
• cash or negotiable instruments
• illegal goods
Voltedge Drive reserves the right to refuse any consignment considered unsafe or improperly declared.
11. Insurance and Liability
Voltedge Drive maintains Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance.
Liability for loss or damage is strictly limited to the level of cover provided by the applicable insurance policy.
No liability is accepted for:
• loss of profit
• business interruption
• indirect or consequential loss
Customers are responsible for ensuring the value of goods falls within insurance limits unless agreed in advance.
Voltedge Drive accepts no liability for delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, including traffic conditions, accidents or road restrictions.
12. Proof of Delivery
Digital proof of delivery will be provided where available.
• This may include signature, name or photographic confirmation.
• Delivery confirmation will be issued electronically.
13. Account and Service Misuse
Account access remains the property of Voltedge Drive.
Access may be suspended or withdrawn at any time in cases of:
• misuse
• non payment
• non commercial use
• repeated booking issues
14. Amendments and Governing Law
Voltedge Drive reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
